Sikkim, located in northeast India and bordered by Bhutan, Tibet, and Nepal, lies in the heart of the Himalayas. The state boasts a dramatic landscape, including India’s highest peak, Kangchenjunga, at 8,586 m. Sikkim is also renowned for its glaciers, alpine meadows, and a rich variety of wildflowers. Scenic trails lead to hilltop Buddhist monasteries such as Pemayangtse, dating back to the early 1700s.

Darjeeling, a town in West Bengal nestled in the Himalayan foothills, was once a summer retreat for the British Raj elite. It remains the endpoint of the historic narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. The region is famous for its distinctive black tea plantations and stunning views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, one of the world’s tallest peaks.

As you land at Bagdogra Airport (or arrive at NJP Railway Station), feel the mountain air kiss your cheeks. Our Travel Amor representative warmly welcomes you for your scenic drive to Gangtok, the charming capital of Sikkim.

Wind through tea gardens, misty valleys, and winding mountain roads. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. The evening is yours to stroll through MG Marg, where colorful cafés, prayer flags, and mountain goods greet you.

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a soul-stirring journey to the high-altitude wonders of East Sikkim:

• Tsomgo Lake: At 12,400 ft, this glacial lake mirrors the sky and legends. In winter, it’s a white dream; in summer, blooming with rhododendrons.

• �� Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir: A shrine built in memory of a brave soldier, believed to still guard the border.

Return to Gangtok by evening.
