About Kedarnath – Tungnath
The Kedarnath Tungnath Trek is one of the most spiritually enriching Himalayan temple treks in Uttarakhand, attracting pilgrims and trekkers from around the world. Located at a remarkable Kedarnath altitude of 3,583 meters in the Garhwal Himalayas, the sacred site is home to the ancient Lord Shiva temple Kedarnath, a key destination for the revered Kedarnath pilgrimage. Devotees undertake the Kedarnath Temple trek to seek divine blessings at this historic shrine, believed to grant spiritual liberation. Estimated to be over 1,200 years old and traditionally linked to Adi Shankaracharya, the temple stands as a powerful symbol of faith, history, and devotion along the iconic Tungnath temple trek route.
