About Polo Forest

Polo Forest, located in Gujarat’s Sabarkantha district near Ahmedabad, spans around 400 sq km of dry mixed deciduous forest and is a haven for nature lovers, trekkers, and history buffs. Renowned for its diverse wildlife—including numerous bird species, sloth bears, and leopards—it is also home to centuries-old ruins and temples dating back to the 15th century. The area is enriched by the serene Harnav River, a picturesque reservoir, and ancient temples of historical and spiritual importance. The forest is especially captivating from July to January, during the monsoon and winter seasons.
